The second seminar for the Welfare Imagainaries series (funded by The Sociological Review Foundation) happened on the 25th September in Liverpool. This seminar aimed to understand welfare in the present. In addition to a great line up of speakers, there were zine-making sessions and welfare walks.
I’ve been involved in co-organising the series and so it was a welcoming space to give a talk on how ‘period poverty’ is currently being represented. I also got the opportunity to make another zine page under the guidance of the great artist and faciliator, Jean McEwan:
